The pyramids of Giza are located in the Valley of Giza. The three most prominent pyramids are the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Kafhre and the Pyramid of Menkaura. Each Pyramid depicts a tomb dedicated to the various kings of Egypt. These pyramids at Giza were constructed during the 3rd and 4th dynasty. The Pyramid of Khufu covers approximately an area of nine acre. The Pyramid of Menkaura has granite covering on one tier at its base, while the Pyramid of Khafre had two-tiered base covered by granite.
