Military Museum in Cairo is located in the Citadel of Cairo. The archives of Military museum is a collection of weapons and costumes reflecting the history of wars in Egypt from ancient times. One notable collection is of the 1956 Anglo-French-Israeli attack.
The tourists interested in Egyptian history frequent this museum. Especially the modern period and the period of the crusades are well projected in this museum. The ceremonial equipments, costumes, life-size models depict several of Egypt's main battles. The museum is surrounded by strict security. The huge old gate is used as the museum entrance.
