administrative issues. Furthermore, the central government of Egypt played a vital role in ruling the capital city and supervising its budget and other day-to-day expenditures. But since 1960, the National Ministry for Local Administration has set off a new organized form of local government of Cairo.

Cairo Local Government is responsible for providing welfare, social, health, and educational services in the region. These governments also supervise the city and village councils, which are set up in a similar framework.
