Cotopaxi is world's highest active volcano. Its economy is based on various industries like mining and manufacturing apart from services, and agriculture. Crude petroleum, bananas, flowers and fish are chief export items. It is surrounded by Colombia to the north and Peru to the east and south. The Pacific Ocean is located to its west. - Cuenca: Cuenca has preserved many colonial monuments. Agrarian products, cattle, marble, Panama hats, textiles, lace, leather goods, jewelry, and food are its important commercial products.
