The arrangements for Christmas commence one or two weeks before the festival. December is a cool month in Prague and with the warmth of Christmas, the entire ambience becomes festive.
Prague at Christmas looks beautiful with lavishly decorated markets, parks and squares. The shops are also brightly decorated with lights and festoons and balloons. Christmas trees are also placed at the corners of parks and squares and also in several shops. Restaurants and cafes serve some special dishes at this time of the year. The churches and cathedrals are also well-decorated. There are special prayers and hymns that are sung in praise of All Mighty God.
The markets in Prague also provide beautiful sights with variety of traditional items on display. There are also small fairs held in the city, where children enjoy themselves. Santa Claus is also seen distributing gifts to children. Christmas is incomplete without good lip-smacking food. These are widely available in the various eateries and restaurants of the city.
