Zagrepcanka

Zagrepcanka is a 310 feet tall business tower located in Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. Zagrepcanka in Zagreb is the second highest structure in Croatia with 26 levels. Zagrepcanka business tower was constructed by architects Berislav Vinkovic and Slavko Jelinek in 1976.

This almost 95 meter edifice is surmounted by a radio tower of about 15 meters height, thereby making the total height of the structure approximately 110 meters. The building is composed of three portions:
  1. An east wing having 19 floors
  2. A 21- floor west wing
  3. A central portion having 26 floors
The tower has a two level basement used for car
parking. The entire building is served by six elevators. In addition to commercial enterprises the tower houses a fountain and an art installation. Another architectural characteristic of the edifice is the construction of 23 numbers of protrusions running from the 25th to the 26th floors. The impressive facade of the tower is constructed of white marble and green glass

This imposing structure in Zagreb is currently under renovation which is likely to be completed in a short time span. During the course of renovation, people are entering the tower through an improvised tunnel made of steel bars and wooden boards.

Zagrepcanka lovingly called as 'The Hells Tower' by the commoners, is situated at the crossing of Vukovarska and Savska in Zagreb city.
