Mimara Museum is one of the major attractions in Zagreb, Croatia. This museum is also known by the name of "Art Collection of Ante and Wiltrud Topic Mimara". The museum came into existence as an effort to conserve the huge collection of Ante Topic Mimara, who used to be a very wealthy businessman as well.
The building that houses the Mimara Museum was previously used as a high school. However, in order to store the huge personal art collection inherited from Mimara, it was later fully converted to a museum.
The range of Art collection at Mimara Museum is wide enough to interest almost everybody visiting it. The number of collections is around 3750. The art forms depict the art varieties of varied materials and techniques, belonging to diverse countries, civilizations

and culture. The extensive art collection consists of valuable items of famous European Art, the Far East, Greece, Crete and America.
Velasquez, Raphael, Goya, Rubens and Rembrant are some of the renowned artists whose works are at display in the Mimara Museum of Zagreb, Croatia. The paintings at Mimara Museum would number around 450. Besides, there are 20th century sculptures and antiquities from Egypt and Greece. There are items from the Far East also that are created from rare items like rhinoceros horn, jade and lacquer.
