Zagreb Arts and Crafts Museum is a very popular museum in Croatia. The Museum, with a floor area of 8244.80 square meters, was established in the year 1880. The museum aims to protect the artistic culture of Croatia. This museum acts as a national museum comprising 1, 60,000 exhibits.
Zagreb Arts and Crafts Museum's collection includes paintings, musical instruments, ivory collection, visual & graphic arts, sculptures, photographic equipment, furnishing, clocks, painted leather, smoking accessories, toys, book designs, metal items and printing and bookbinding equipments.
Different types of exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, are organized by the Zagreb Arts and Crafts Museum. The temporary exhibitions are held on the

ground floor. In 1995, the permanent exhibitions were reopened. Besides, the museum also organizes historical, cultural, educational and thematic exhibitions and workshops. The rare collection of the museum and its expansions are mainly brought through major donations from Zaplaz, Akacic, Pichler, Maric, Vinski, Penic, Ibler, Ulrich, Krizman, and Matkovic-Majer.
Zagreb Arts and Crafts Museum library started working from 1880. This is one of the oldest libraries in Europe that was established by the Art Society. With 50,000 volumes that include manuals, books, journals, maps and auction catalogs, the library occupies an important place among the Museum's possessions.
Zagreb Arts and Crafts Museum remains open from Tuesday to Friday between 10am and 7pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 2pm.
