Santiago enjoys well-distributed seasons. In the city, summer prevails from December to February. The highest temperature recorded in December is 28.4ºC. The highest temperature ranges between 29ºC and 30ºC in January and February, whereas the low average temperature ranges between 12ºC and 13ºC. The temperature keeps dropping with the setting of winter in June, which lasts till August. The highest average temperature in winter recorded during the daytime does not exceed 15ºC. However, morning temperature remains below zero degree. The spring season lasts from September till November. Monsoon sets in the month of April and the highest precipitation is recorded in the months of June and July, when the average rainfall recorded ranges between 70.4 mm and 86.6 mm.

Moderate climatic conditions dominate the spring and autumn seasons.
