The three types of taxis of Santiago differ in color. The normal taxis are black colored with yellow roofs. These operate frequently and are easily accessible from all parts of the city. The colectivos run on fixed routes and have a seating capacity of five persons. However, colectivos are shared taxis and are expensive. Radio taxis are also expensive but offer fast service. Passengers can book the radio taxis by making just one call to avail of the door-to-door pick up facility.
