University of Ottawa



The University of Ottawa is the prestigious university of Canada. Previously it was known as the College of Bytown, established in 1848. In 1866, it became the University of Ottawa.
It was known as the liberal arts college offering education in applied sciences in both English and French language. Founded by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate it boasts of being the oldest universities in the country. The advanced research works of the University has been appreciated worldwide.

The University of Ottawa confers bachelor's degrees, master degrees and also doctorate degrees to the students. It has occupied fifth position for excellence in research works worldwide and tenth in Canada.
