The Saint Paul University in Ottawa is one of the reputed varsities of Canada. Founded in 1965, it had been established as a Catholic University. It is a bilingual institution providing
education in English as well as in French. The University offers career-oriented courses to the students that meet the demands of the current job market. Students get the opportunity of pursuing higher studies in an environment of diverse culture. The whole responsibility of the Saint Paul University is given to the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. This varsity is federated with the University of Ottawa.

Initially, it was known as the College of Bytown and later on became the Saint Paul University in 1965 after it was made an institution exclusively meant for the Catholic students. The University of Ottawa which was a part of the College of Bytown maintained its secular nature and now exists as one of the oldest Canadian universities. Both these universities confer degrees to the students jointly. The Saint Paul University attracts a number of international students each year. The library of the institution boasts of being the biggest religious research library in Canada. The Saint Paul University of Ottawa offers a wide variety of courses to the students which include:
