Ottawa River Parkway is a bike trail that lies in the southern part of Ottawa River in the downtown region of Ottawa. The River Parkway of Ottawa starts from the Mill Restaurant and
stretches to Carling Avenue covering a distance of approximately 9.5 kilometers. While traversing the Ottawa River Parkway get mesmerized by the scenic attractions. There are two awesome public beaches along the parkway. The Parkway ends up in the Parliament Hill. Biking through the Ottawa River Parkway is an enjoyable activity as the surrounding scenic view is really captivating.

Transportation from Ottawa to Kanata becomes easy by availing the Ottawa River Parkway. The total distance from Ottawa to Kanata is 20 kilometers that can be traversed easily by following the Ottawa River Parkway.

The bike route of Ottawa River Parkway also serves as a commuter artery for west-end residents of the downtown area of Ottawa. The speed limit of the vehicles traversing the parkway is approximately 60 km/hr. During the summer months, mainly on Sundays, the lanes of the Parkway are restricted for bicycle traffic and pedestrian from 9 am to 1 pm.

Apart from the Ottawa River Parkway, the other popular parkways in and around Ottawa are Rockcliffe Parkway and Gatineau Park Parkway.
