Place de Ville



Situated in the centre of Ottawa, the Place de Ville is the tallest tower of the city. The building comprises of three structures in two phases. It has an underground shopping mall
connecting the three office buildings of the Place de Ville. The three structures of the building are Place de Ville A, B and C. The A and B towers are located on the southern side of the Queen Street and the tower C on the north of the street. Apart from serving the business tourists and federal employees, the building also houses exclusive boutiques. The transport department of Canada is the biggest tenant of the complex. The Tower C is the head quarter of the Transport Department of Canada.

The entire building of Place de Ville is controlled by the Brookfield properties. The second phase of the Place de Ville complex which comprises the Tower C, a 4 storey building, retail shops, platform and 770 parking areas along with retail outlets and food marts was built in the year 1971.

The Tower C of the Place de Ville is a twenty nine storey building featuring a number of shops and a parking space. The Tower C complex is very popular for being the garage of the city's street cars. The Human Resources Development of Canada occupies the first three floors of the platform in Tower C. The ground floor of the building is occupied by a restaurant and a printing company. The Tower C of Place de Ville is currently the tallest building of the city.
