Lynx Stadium

The Lynx Stadium is the famous baseball stadium of Canada. Opened in 1993, the stadium is located at the crossing point between the Vanier Park and the Queensway.
Formerly, the stadium was known as Ottawa Stadium and JetForm Park. The baseball games played in the stadium used to draw large number of fans. In the initial years, the Lynx was one of the popular stadiums in the city but after a decade, the number of fans declined and it recorded lowest attendance in the following years.

The main tenant of the Lynx Stadium was the International League Team, the Ottawa Lynx. After 2002, the stadium name was changed to "Lynx Stadium". The Lynx Stadium of Ottawa features concessions, gift shops and play areas for kids. It also houses a restaurant, Upper Deck, which serves delectable dishes to all baseball fans. The Lynx Stadium in Ottawa has an open air picnic area on the left side of the field. Passersby can easily see the game while walking or driving.

After the exit of the Ottawa Lynx from this stadium, several ideas came about for the betterment of the Stadium. The Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball gave proposals for establishing their base in the stadium. Proposals were also made to convert the stadium into a casino or a retail concourse. However, none of the plans has been formulated till date and the Lynx Stadium still holds its original prestige and honor.
