Ottawa Government

Ottawa, the capital of Canada, is the seat of government for the whole nation. Ottawa government can refer both to the national government as well as the local government. The local government of Ottawa city is in the form of a municipality. The municipal corporation of Ottawa is responsible for the governance of the city.

Ottawa municipality consists of the city of Ottawa and its neighboring regions such as West Carleton, Osgoode, Rideau, Kanata, Barrhaven and Goulbourn.
