Ethnic Groups in Ottawa

The city of Ottawa boasts of a unique blend of various communities. There are several ethnic groups in Ottawa including English, French, Irish, Scottish and others. The city also consists of other ethnic groups like German, Italian and Canadian. There are also many foreign born residents living in the city of Ottawa like the Chinese, Lebanese, Balkans and many more. The minority groups visible in Ottawa include Black Canadians, Asian, Chinese Canadian, Arabs and others.

Ottawa is a bilingual city having a large number of English and French speaking people. The other important languages spoken widely in the city are Chinese, Spanish, Italian, German and others.
