Founded in 1851, the
Ottawa Curling Club is a historic club situated in the centre of Ottawa. Located on the O' Connor Street it boasts of being the oldest curling club of Ottawa.
Formerly, the club moved to different location in Ottawa until finally it settled in 1916 at its present location on the O'Connor Street. Apart from this club, the Rideau Canal Club is also very popular in Ottawa. Presently, the Ottawa Curling Club has five curling sheets. From 1931 onwards, artificial ice is also available at the club.
The Ottawa Curling Club used to play its matches on the Rideau Canal till 1858. The club organizes championship matches once in a year. It has a number of curling leagues participating in the club's championship competitions. Apart from club leagues, it also has several rental leagues. There are also many official leagues in the Ottawa Curling Club which include:

The club draws a number of members from across Canada due to its advantageous location near the Queensway. The two popular events, Gordie Perry Bonspiel and the Canada Cup East are also organized in the city. The Ottawa Curling Club provides a wide range of facilities to the players which include well maintained ice sheets, heater in the ice region, ice plant, well-staffed kitchen, newly-designed lounge and bar, professional managers for assistance, parking facilities and other facilities.
The Ottawa Curling Club is one of the premier and extremely popular curling clubs of Ottawa which has maintained its glory since its inception in 1851.
