Ottawa Chamber Music Society is one of the significant organizations which present excellent cultural programs in Ottawa. Ottawa Chamber Music Society is a non-profit organization of Ottawa. It presents concerts with the highest standard of classical music.
The concerts of Ottawa Chamber Music Society are often aired nationally by CBC Radio to around 30 million radio listeners. In the year 2008, the 15th Anniversary of the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival would be held from 26th July to 9th August.
The first chamber music festival on classical music was held in the year 1994 and was the brainchild of Cellist Julian Armour. Since then, a large number of the finest chamber music players from all over the world have given their stellar performances in the concerts of Ottawa Chamber Music Society. During summers, a large number of music lovers from all over the world attend Ottawa Chamber Music Festival which is the biggest chamber music festival of the world. The concerts takes place in the heritage churches of Ottawa.
Some of the famous cultural events organized by the Ottawa Chamber Music Society are Family Music Fair, OCMS Concert Series and Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival. The Society also releases CDs of their concerts from time-to-time.
