The Canadian Tulip Festival is the biggest tulip festival of the world. This is one of the most important annual cultural events of Canada where a large number of visitors come. This event generally takes place in Gatineau and Ottawa and is held on three weekends in the month of May. The festival was the brainchild of Malak Karsh, a Canadian photographer.
Apart from the display of tulips, the Canadian Tulip Festival has been featuring a number of outdoor music concerts from its inception. In the year 2007, the festival was reorganized to focus primarily on encouraging global friendship; the true symbolic significance of the tulip flower.
