The Bronson Avenue is one of the most important roadways of Ottawa. The Avenue was named after Henry Franklin Bronson, the timber magnate of Ottawa. It is a north-south road which stretches
from the Sparks Street to the Airport Parkway. The street crosses Glebe and Centretown before turning to the Airport Parkway. The Bronson Avenue in Ottawa is an undivided four-lane local road which spans from the Albert Street to the busy Colonel by Drive.

The Airport Parkway, the end point of the road, is a main highway which leads to the Macdonald-Cartier International Airport.

The Bronson Avenue in Ottawa serves as a major gateway to the southern parts of Ottawa. It is one of the most important and busy roads of Ottawa. During the rush hours of the morning, the Bronson Avenue becomes quite busy.

It is known as a boundary line for many neighborhoods of Ottawa, namely, Old Ottawa South Centretown, Centretown West, and the Glebe. The Carleton University and Glebe Collegiate Institute border the Bronson Avenue of Ottawa. The main intersections of this north-south bound road are Catherine Street, Highway 417, Albert Street, Carling Avenue, Slater Street, Sunnyside Avenue, Somerset Street and others. It serves as a major road for all the local residents of Ottawa.
