History of Sea Garden in Varna
It was only in the middle of the19th century when the bare and isolated land first came into notice. By the order of the mayor a small garden was initially created on the spot in 1862. Later on in 1881, after the liberation of the country, the city garden and a seaside

park was established. Today, Sea Garden of Varna covers an area of 26,000 sq m.

Varna Aquarium is one of the major attractions of the garden. It was built during 1906 to 1911 by the famous Czech gardener, Anton Novak.
