E79 road route connect Sofia with Greece. E80 joins Sofia with Turkey and Yugoslavia. Rail services connect Sofia with various places within the country. There are trains connecting Sofia with Istanbul, St. Petersburg, Budapest, Belgrade, Moscow and Bucharest.

For getting around Sofia, there are metro rail, trams, buses and taxis for the tourists. One can also hire a car for traveling in the city.
