Shturtzite is popular among the music bands of Sofia carrying forward the rich Sofia music and culture. The music band continues to enjoy the support of the audience since its inception in the year 1967.
Shturtzite was founded by Petar Gyuzelev, Petar Tsankov, Kiril Marichkov and Veselin Kisyov. The band made their debut at the Bulgarian School of Performing Arts at a students' party. In the year 1967 the band recorded its first music.

- Georgi Markov : percussion (since 1974)
- Vladimir Totev : clavier, vocal (since 1976)
Till date Shturtzite has performed at 2600 concerts. The first EP record was made by the group in the year 1968. The record contained famous songs like Malkiat Svetal Prozorets and Veselina.
