With a collection of artifacts and old coins, the National Archaeological Museum of Bulgaria is one of the most frequently visited places in the city of Sofia. The museum is located in the Buyuk Mosque, a 15th century building, located at the centre of the city. It remains open on all days of the week except on Monday. The visiting hours start from 10.00 am in the morning. The Museum closes at 6 pm in the evening during the summer months and an hour earlier in winter.
