Krasno Selo is one of the municipalities in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. Krasno Selo is located at the western regions of Sofia, which got urbanized during the Second World War. The prime avenue in the surrounding regions of Krasno Selo is the Tsar Boris III Boulevard. The municipality of Krasno Selo had given shelter to many refugees after the World War I and the Balkan War II. The refugees mostly belonged to the regions of Vardar Macedonia, Western Thrace, Western Outlands and the Southern Dobruja.
There are many regions in the municipality of Krasno Selo in Sofia that are known either as the Tsaribrod or the Dobrujan neighborhood. There is a hint of the native architectural structure in the buildings of the area. The Round Tower that was constructed in the year 1929, specifically reminds the White Tower of Thessaloniki.

Although Krasno Selo contains many traditional buildings, the geographical position of the place helped in the modernization of the municipality. The architecture of Krasno Selo mainly consists of the suburban buildings. Most of the residential constructions are of the types of Soviet era panel buildings. The relatively modern residential buildings can be dated back to 1990. The structures of the buildings are made of brick.
One of the prime reasons behind the growth of the Krasno Selo municipality is the transport service in the western areas, which lead on to the neighboring region of Pernik. Initially known as the Knyazhevksa, the Balkan tramway started operating from the 1st of January, 1901 and operates along the Tsar Boris III Boulevard.
