International Folklore Festival in Sofia


The International Folklore Festival in Sofia is held every year in the month of July in the municipality of Vitosha. It is one of the most important events in Sofia and speaks of the cultural heritage of different countries of the world. The International Folklore Festival in Sofia commences with a colorful procession in which the citizens join the participants from different countries and parade down the main street of the city. The procession starts from the National Palace of Culture. It passes through the Vitosha Boulevard and ends up at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, located in the historic centre of Plovdiv.
