Bulgarian Stock Exchange in Sofia is a stock exchange of Bulgaria, which operates from Sofia, the capital city of the country. The Stock Exchange in Sofia is also abbreviated as BSE. It was established in 1914, and operated for quite some time. However, after Second World War it stopped functioning. Later in 1991, the exchange has renewed its operation.
The Bulgarian stock Exchange in Sofia functions within the limitations of the Law. The law is intended to provide securities to the investors and create fundamentals for the development of a well-organized capital market in the country.
In Sofia, the financial supervision commission of the state regulates the stock market. The commission ensures protection against the investors.
