Sao Paulo University in Sao Paulo was established on 11th August in the year 1827. The University of Sao Paulo is one of the leading educational establishments in the field of advance education. Sao Paulo University has nine campuses.

Admission to the University of Sao Paulo is made through entrance exams, which usually takes place through two steps. The entrance exam of the University of Sao Paulo is administered and prepared by FUVEST (University Foundation for Vestibular).

Notable Alumni of the University of Sao Paulo include the former presidents of Sao Paulo, namely, Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Janio Quardos and also few state governors of the place. Noted writers like Oswald de Andrade, Fagundes Varela, Alvares de Azevedo and many more are the ex-students of the University of Sao Paulo.
