Brussels



Brussels is the capital of Belgium and has many destinations to attract the tourist for Brussels tour. It is the French Community of Belgium, Flanders and the main seat of the European Union's institutions. The name Brussels has been derived from the Old Dutch
Bruocsella, which means 'marsh'. The city stands as the headquarters of the two main institutions of the European Union - the European Commission and the Council of the European Union. It is also the political seat of NATO, WEU and EUROCONTROL, the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation.

Area & Location: Located in the center of Belgium, the city of Brussels has a total area of 162 sq. km. Situated at 50º50'37? Latitude North and 4º21'27? Longitude East, around 140,000 people reside in the city.
