The Gomel Distillery is the first alcoholic industry of its kind to innovate and implement ideas like HACCP or the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point. This was a methodology to procure safe and high quality food for the astronauts. The technology included the inspection of the processing techniques, tracing the problems and finding solutions and implementing them . In the year 2004, the company took a giant step in its field of concern by introducing and certifying ISO 14000. Having gained the HACCP certificate, the company has established a niche for itself in the global market.
