Customs and Traditions: A local custom of Sydney that is very popular among the residents is to play chess in Hyde Park. There is a large chessboard, which is painted on the concrete. Besides this, there are several normal-sized boards on tables, garden benches, and seats on which people gather to play chess all day long. The busiest hours are during the lunchtime. So, if you like chess, just make a visit to Hyde Park to play a game of chess. All the members of the public can also join in the game of chess, which is played on the giant board painted on the ground.
