It is the same place, which is also owned in parts Seven Network, Nine Network and the Network Ten. The 2-day FM is inclusive of the Austereo Today Network. The Austereo purchased the 2-Day FM in the year 1987. In the year 1980, this radio station along with Triple J and Triple M, was granted the FM broadcasting license.
The 2 Day FM radio station operates at 104.1 MHz FM and shares its antenna with Mix 106.5, Triple M and 2WS. These three together form the banner of Sydney FM facilities.

It was launched in the year 1980, on the 2nd of August. The lead slogan of the 2 Day FM, Sydney reads 'Sydneys' #1 Hit Music Station'. This radio channel is primarily concerned with the broadcasting of rock, rap and pop genre of music though earlier it was more inclined towards eastern music. The earliest owners of the 2-Day FM Sydney were Mike Willesse, Graham Kennedy, John Laws and Village.
