Sydney Time


The Sydney time is counted 10 hours ahead of the Greenwich Marine Time and the longitude of the place corresponds to 151° 00 East. The Greenwich Marine Time is the standard time of the world and the time of all other countries in the world is calculated with respect to this standard.

Australia has been divided into four time zones because of the vast stretch of the country in the East- West Direction. The difference between the time of
Sydney with that of other Western Australia is two hours. With Northern territory and South Australia is half an hour.

In Sydney, the Daylight Saving time is variable. On certain days it is not considered at all while on other days and times, it is taken into consideration. Day Light Saving Time is followed in certain countries, when the official time is considered an hour behind to increase the time of working before sunset.
