Australia has been divided into four time zones because of the vast stretch of the country in the East- West Direction.
The difference between the time of Sydney with that of other Western Australia is two hours. With Northern territory and South Australia is half an hour.
In Sydney, the Daylight Saving time is variable. On certain days it is not considered at all while on other days and times, it is taken into consideration. Day Light Saving Time is followed in certain countries, when the official time is considered an hour behind to increase the time of working before sunset.
