Sydney Botany Bay

Sydney Botany Bay is located in New South Wales and as the name suggests, this is a Bay of Sydney. This was the place where Lieutenant James Cook had landed. He along with his two botanist friends, Joseph banks and Daniel Solander had arrived at the island in the month of April of 1770. The Sydney Botany is now the site of Kingsford Airport. This land was a swampy wasteland, which was found unsuitable for agriculture.

The Botany Bay National Park

The Botany Bay National Park in the interiors of the Botany Bay is one of the many unique geographical sites. Lying amidst the sandstone cliff, the marine life that it encloses makes it an in-demand sight seeing spot. This was the place, which was studied by the botanists who traveled along with James Cook. This park is valuable for its historical importance associated with the early explorers as well as the scenic beauty.
Australia is famous for its unique life form, which is distinct from the rest of the world. The Laperouse Museum and the Discovery Center are the two places, where the stories and reminiscence of the early exploration are put up for public display. The remains of the heathland vegetation are still to be seen on the banks of Solander.

The Sydney Botany Bay National Park of Australia is frequented by tourists from all over the word because of its natural appeal.

Northern Sydney has 90% Australian born people, while central Sydney has 67% of the native population. The maximum number of immigrant population in Sydney comprises people from china, New Zealand, United States of America and India. Apart from these, people also flock from Lebanon, Italy, Vietnam and Philippines.
