Sydney Town Hall

Sydney Town Hall is a piece of the Victorian architecture and the sandstone textile gives it an elite look. It stands on the George Street. The hall was built for the purpose of holding official meetings and works of the Mayor. It accommodates a City Council Chamber, reception rooms, the offices of the election councilors and the Mayor and the Centennial hall.

This elegantly made up building has till recent times been a meeting place for many. The other prominent feature of the Sydney Town Hall in Sydney is the mechanical pipe organ. This is the largest of its kind in
the world. It is the creation of William & Son firm, an English company. This addition was made in 1890 while the Sydney Town hall was built in 1880.

The Sydney Town hall is located in the vicinity of the St Andrew's cathedral and opposite to the Town hall is situated the Queen Victoria building. There had been reports of breach of peace in the Sydney Town Hall area but thanks to the immediate steps taken by the authority, public security has been restored. Better and more guards are now employed for this purpose. The Sydney Town Hall of Sydney is a must visit destination for travelers to Sydney.
