The Crystal Set Sydney


The Crystal Set Sydney is a very popular Australian music band. The band was specialized in the Indie rock music. At one point of time, it rocked the whole music industry of Australia. This rock band of Sydney consisted of four members. They were Russell Kilbey, Davey Ray Moor, Tim Seckhold and Philip Maher.

All the four members of The Crystal Set of Sydney were very talented and distinct from each other. Russell Kilbey was the lead vocalist though he also played the bass where as Tim Seckhold played the drums. Philip Maher was the guitarist, though at times he also lended his vocals. Davey Ray Moor played the piano and was another vocalist in the band.
The first album of The Crystal Set in Sydney was “A Drop In The Ocean”. This was their first independent venture, though after some time they cracked a deal with Red Eye Records. After this the band released two more albums titled “Wholly Holy” and “Benefit of the Doubt” respectively.

Soon Moor left The Crystal Set Sydney. He was replaced by Craig Hooper after which the band released their new album “Cluster”. Later on Hooper also left this Australian rock band, after which Kilbey took up the responsibility of the guitar as well as the vocals. Luke Blackburn joined as a new member. He took up the bass as well as the vocals. And soon after, the whole band broke up.
