Strand Arcade

Strand Arcade is a renowned shopping arcade, which is located right in the heart of the Central Business District in Sydney. The Strand Arcade lies between the George Street and Pitt Street Mall in Sydney.

The history of the Strand Arcade dates back to the year 1892 and it was the fifth and last arcade to be built in Victorian Sydney. At the time of its construction, the Strand Arcade was known as ‘City Arcade’ and was sometimes known as ‘Arcade Street’. In 1981, it was named The Strand in honor of the famous London Street, which had the best London Theater, shopping street and hotel, The Strand.

The Strand Arcade has become the epicenter of Australia’s top jewelry brands, designer labels, beauty salons, housing stores and other unique shops.

The ground floor at the Strand Arcade has a huge collection of men’s fashion, Jurlique Salon for natural products, Sydney Vintage Watches and other stores.
