Queen’s Victoria Building or popularly the QVB is a colossal Victorian building, which is located at the heart of the Central Business District in Sydney. The huge Queen’s Victoria Building, which is based on Romanesque Revival architectural form, is absolutely contrasting to the other modern shopping plazas all around it. The Queen’s Victoria Building occupies an entire block surrounded by the Market, George, Druitt and York streets.
The design of the Queen’s Victoria Building was made by George McRae and the building was completed in the year 1898. The building replaced the original Sydney market, which was present there. There are many exciting exhibitions and attractions that are present all throughout this building.
Outside the Queen’s Victoria Building is the Queen Victoria’s Statue and the Royal Wishing Well.
