Midnight Oil Sydney is one of the most popular rock bands in Australia. The fabled rock band of Australia has been spreading their music around the world since the last three decades. The rock band is popularly called “The Oils” by its dedicated set of fans.

Moginie, the guitarist as well as the piano player. They were just 15 years old. A year ahead, Rob Hirst joined Midnight Oil at Sydney as drummer cum vocalist. In the year 1976, the band first renamed itself as Farm and later after the remaining three members joined it, and became Midnight Oil Sydney.
The remaining three members were Peter Garrett who became the lead singer, Martin Rotsey, the guitarist and Gary Morris, the manager cum band member. Sydney Midnight Oil launched their first album in the year 1978. It was titled ‘Midnight Oil’. But due to its dark blue cover, many referred to it as Blue Meanie. And since that day, this rock band in Sydney has been achieving new milestones and creating new records.
