CMA Sydney

The CMA Sydney is another name for the Sydney Metropolitan Catchment Authority. The catchment area in Sydney refers to the place, which has a plethora of inland waterbodies, rivers and estuaries. The Sydney catchment area is home to many indigenous fauna of Australia. Some of these are endangered while others are threatened. The CMA Sydney authorities take on the responsibility of promoting the environmental conditions for a safer home to Australia's unique wildlife.

The CMA Sydney Projects

Various projects have been undertaken to reach the goals set up by the CMA Sydney.
These projects include work related to the estuary, coastal and marine life, water in the catchment region, land and development works, biodiversity factors and communities settled in CMA Sydney. Also, there are certain Icon area projects.

The Sydney catchment area is credited with five natural reserves, three state conservation areas and seven national parks. Also, there are three aquatic reserves covering the water bodies in the catchment region of Sydney. This area is home to the aboriginal tribal people of Australia and there are thirty environmental interest groups in the catchment area of Sydney. The Gandangara, La Perouse, Metropolitan, Tharawal, Illawara and Deerubin are six local aboriginal land councils.
