The lower slopes and partly cleared valley floor depicts the stay of the aboriginal tribes and the Europeans in the area. On the other hand the ecosystems of the heavily forested and steep sides of the Tidbinbilla Valley are comparatively undisturbed. The barbeque facilities and the scenic beauty of the nature in Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve make it an ideal picnic spot.
Exploring the park and the unique trees along with the guides or even without them is highly thrilling for the nature lovers. Coffee as well as light refreshments are also available for relaxing. The gift shop inside the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve has a great collection of clothes, toys, books, cards and souvenirs.
Scenic drive through the reserve is as exciting as walking or cycling in and around the area. Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve houses a wide rage of animals and vegetation. Grey kangaroos, swamp wallabies, red-necked wallabies, cockatoos and emu are generally seen in the park.
