Strathnairn Homestead Gallery Canberra

Strathnairn Homestead Gallery is situated on the north-western outskirts of Canberra. It is located 900 metres from the Magpies
Belconnen Golf Club turnoff. This 1920s villa was converted into an art gallery with all basic facilities. This gallery has been used by artists to display their art for decades.

The various types of art works of woodwork, photography, sculpture, glass, textiles, ceramics, mixed media paintings on paper and canvas in different mediums are displayed in Strathnairn Homestead Gallery in Canberra. The upcoming new artists feature their work in the gallery.

The Strathnairn Homestead Gallery property was actually a part of land grant that was presented to Charles Sturt, a19th century explorer. In the early part of 20th century it was turned into a mixed farm and later in the 1970s, it was converted into the Blue Folk Community Arts centre.

In the month of November every year, the Strathnairn Arts Association holds exhibition in Strathnairn Homestead Gallery for its its Annual Members. Th gallery is a very popular tourist destination among art lovers.
