Visitors to Canberra Space Center can learn about the instrumental role played by Australia in the field of space exploration. They can also observe the biggest antenna complex that can be found in the southern hemisphere. The other attractions of Canberra Space Center are the latest images from Mars, a portion of the Moon, which is more than 3.8 billion years old, space hardware and spacecraft models.
People can also check out the food, which sustains astronauts while on the space shuttle and space station, take a trip across the galaxy or around the Solar System and watch a movie on space exploration. After that they can relax in the Moon Rock Café.
The gift shop and cafe of Canberra Space Center opens daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. Guests can find the best coffee, meals and snacks there. Canberra Space Center also has picnic areas and a playground for children.
