Questacon Canberra

Questacon is the National Science and Technology Center in Canberra. It was officially inaugurated on 23 November, 1988. Questacon in Canberra is Australia's
major interactive science and technology Center. The location of Questacon is at the Lake Burley Griffin or the Parliamentary Triangle near the Australian Parliament House.

This place is specially loved by the children for its lovely scientific establishments. Some science displays encourage manual experiments designed for the tourists to promote interpreting of the utility and the application of science and technology in everyday life. It is a particularly a popular destination among the students, families with children. Here science is described as fun yet the tour has educational value.

There are many entertainment attractions at Questacon. Numerous rides of various kindsgive the excitement of speed to the youngsters. Visitors have personal access on the science exhibitions of the 6 different exhibition galleries. Every display projects how science is embedded in every activity of day to day life. The visitors experience an earthquake, see lightning created in front of the eyes, understand the science behind tornadoes, throwing a ball in the air or making a telephone call. More than 200 exhibits are present in the Questacon.

Questacon is open from 9am - 5pm on every day except for the Christmas Day. This projects started to spread awareness of science and technology in the community. Thousands of people visiting this place have established the institution as one of the best science communities in Australia.
