Helen Maxwell Gallery is situated on the first floor of a refurbished building constructed during the1960s. It is located in Braddon near the centre of Canberra.

The Gallery has a large open space with high ceilings that has both artificial and naturally lighting facility.

Helen Maxwell Gallery in Canberra displays new exhibits contemporary art from Australia and the Pacific every month. The Gallery is a storehouse of work of art by Native and non-indigenous artists. It also showcases works of contemporary Australian artists.
