Australian War Memorial


The Australian War Memorial is one of the best museums in the entire world and a superb tourist attraction of Australia. The Australian War Memorial was constructed in order to remember those who sacrificed their lives in the Australia war of 1915 at Gallipoli.

The location of the Australian War Memorial is very close to the city center and it takes just half an hour to reach the memorial on foot. Alternatively visitors can cycle to the place or take the regular buses, which run on routes 40 and 33.

The admission is free and the display galleries and Memorial Shop of the Australian War Memorial remain open daily from 10 A.M to 5 P.M.
The Research Centre remains open from 10 A.M to 5P.M. from Monday to Friday and from 1 P.M. to 5P.M on Saturday. It remains closed on Sundays.

The vast and award-winning galleries of the Australian War Memorial are must see places, where visitors can gather knowledge about stories of the past. Through light and sound shows, historical relics are brought to life. The Memorial also boasts of a large collection of artifacts, which were used by soldiers on the battlefields.
