Resistancia is the capital of Chaco province. It is situated in the in northeastern part of Argentina. Currently Resistancia has about 350,000 inhabitants.
It experiences a typical subtropical climate and throughout the year it faces heavy rainfall. In 1876 this city was created. At that time it was merely a colony and the Italian, Polish and German people established their settlement over there. In 1885 Resistancia became the capital of the Chaco.

This Argentine city is both the economical and administrative hub of the country. Aside this Resistancia is a major cultural centre. This city is popularly known as "The city of the Sculptures".
