American International School of Kabul ( AISK) was an international school, which used to cater quality education to its students. The Government of United States through International Development Agency constructed this school. A huge amount of $ 380,000 was spent in building this school.
Kabul, American International School was situated on Darulaman Avenue, which is about 4 mile away from Kabul. The Afghan Government also contributed a lump some amount for the landscaping of the school.
The construction of the school building started in 1964

and was completed by February 1965. Two distinct and separate institutions were developed – high school and an elementary school. Later these two schools were brought together under AISK.
American curriculum was followed in this school to provide better educational opportunity for every individual. The main aim of American International School in Kabul was to offer quality education to every student in Afghanistan.
