The Fujian province of China is the chief producer of Tea due to its suitable climate for tea plantation. Tea plantation in Fujian is almost 1000 years old. Tea is grown all through out the Fujian province encompassing its eastern, western, southern and northern regions.
According to the Fujian Tea Import & Export Co. Ltd Fujian has approximately 1200 high standard tea plantations which have been graded to A and AA levels in the green food standards of China Green Food Development Center. The tea plantations of Fujian provide natural, green and environment-friendly raw materials for the processing of tea.
Some of the famous tea grown in Fujian includes:
Tieguanyin Tea : This tea is grown in Songlintou and Yaoyang in the Anxi County of the Fujian Province. It is one of the cherished teas grown in Fujian.
The Dahongpao: The Dahongpao tea is grown in Jiulong Chao region of the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian.
White Tea: The white tea is grown in various regions of Fujian including the ShuiJie and Zhenghe counties. The white tea leaves have a unique shape. White tea is a little bit fermented tea with a mild flavor but leaves a sweet taste later. The white tea has four varieties including:

Oolong Tea: Oolong is also a slightly fermented variety of tea grown in the Anxi region of the Fujian province and some other provinces of China. Oolong tea has almost eleven varieties including:
